Often, a guest may not consciously notice when a particular service detail is missing. But when it is delivered well — the timing, attentiveness, coordination, presentation or anticipation of a need — it contributes significantly to how the experience feels. The absence of a detail may go unnoticed, but its presence can elevate the entire experience.
Opus Servus observes service as it happens — how the team welcomes guests, communicates, presents menus, takes orders, manages timing, responds to requests and works together throughout the service.
The objective is to understand whether established standards are being followed consistently and where gaps in execution may be affecting the overall experience.
Feedback is practical and specific, with recommendations shared directly with the Maître d’, Hotel Manager or relevant leadership team. This may include observations on service sequence, product knowledge, communication, body language, attentiveness, table maintenance, coordination with the kitchen and overall consistency.
Operational feedback is also discussed directly with restaurant managers, chefs and relevant floor leadership after service, allowing observations to be reviewed while they are still immediate and practical improvements to be agreed for the next service.
Where needed, Opus Servus can also support the team with focused training, coaching and reinforcement of service standards.
The aim is not to create scripted service. It is to help build a team that is confident, knowledgeable, attentive and consistent — while allowing the service to remain natural and personal.
